7th Edition of MITRA SHAKTI to be held in Pune
The Seventh Edition of the joint military training exercise between the Indian Army and the Sri Lankan Army, Exercise Mitra Shakti will be conducted at the Foreign Training Node (FTN), Pune from 1st December 2019. The two-week-long military training exercise will be concluded on December 14, 2019.
The aim of the joint training exercise will be to enhance cooperation, promote and build a positive relationship between the armies of both nations.
The joint exercise has been designed as per the current dynamics of the United Nations peacekeeping operations through tactical exercises, comprehensive and practical discussions.
The previous edition of Mitra Shakti was conducted from March 26-April 8, 2019 in SriLanka.The exercise was started in 2013.
