2nd National GST Conference of Central & State Tax Commissioners
Under the chairmanship of Revenue Secretary of Ministry of Finance, Dr. Ajay Bhushan Pandey, The 2nd National GST Conference of the Commissioners of State Tax and Chief Commissioners of Central Tax held on Tuesday, 7th January 2020, where the conference concentrated for streamlining Goods and Services Tax (GST) system and blocking up revenue leakages.
Among various agencies like GSTC, CBDT, CBIC, FIU, DoR, DGGI, and State Tax Administrations, etc, discussions were held on mechanism and machinery for spreading inter-departmental data to achieve effectiveness in curbing evasion and augment revenue collection.
The Central Tax Zonal office of Mumbai, Vadodara, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh presented best practices adopted by them regarding management and revenue augmentation in their respective tax administrations while GST Policy Wing, CBIC presented ways to bridge the compliance gap and enhancing revenue which will result in recovering unmatched credit, reviewing funds, management of non-filers, reporting of electronic invoice to GST system.
