This array observes electromagnetic radiation at millimetre and submillimeter wavelengths. It has been fully operational since 2013. It had recently photographed the oldest spiral galaxy – BRI 1335-0417. This telescope had earlier captured the image of another galaxy that was formerly considered as the oldest spiral galaxy – GNz11.
