Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for the post of constable consists of a written exam, physical efficiency test (PET), and physical standard test (PST). The written exam consists of objective-type questions on General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General Awareness. For the post of sub-inspector, the recruitment process consists of a written exam, physical standard test, physical efficiency test, and medical examination. The written exam includes questions on General Hindi, Basic Law, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude Test.

Promotion Process

The promotion process in the Uttar Pradesh Police Department is also managed by the UPPRPB. The promotion process includes various stages, such as departmental examinations, physical fitness tests, and seniority-based promotions. The promotion of police personnel is based on their performance, merit, and seniority.

Training
