ATMA Scheme

ATMA Scheme or Agricultural Technology Management Agency scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme that is being implemented since 2005. It is also known as Support to State Extension Programs for Extension Reforms. The scheme looks to set up a decentralized agriculture extension system. It provides grants in aid to state governments to enable the availability of latest technologies, training in good practices, etc. for the farmers. It is currently being implemented in 691 districts in 28 states and UTs across India.
