Main Battle Tank Arjun Mark1A is the latest version of Arjun tank. It is fully designed and developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The Defence Ministry recently cleared the induction of 118 of these tanks worth Rs.8,400 crore into the Indian Army. These tanks are to form 2 regiments in the Armoured Corps. They will be produced by the Ordinance Factory Board’s Heavy Vehicle Factor in Avadi.
