7 FM Transmitters along Indo-Nepal Border gets Government Approval
The Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar in a written reply to Lok Sabha has informed that the Government has given its approval for setting up 7 FM transmitters along the Indo-Nepal border in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand.
3 transmitters will be set up at Bihar’s Bathnaha(Araria district), Narkatiaganj(West Champaran district) and at Sitamarhi.
3 transmitters in Uttar Pradesh’s Gadaniya (Lakhimpur Kheri district), Nanpara (Bahraich district) and at Maharajganj.
1 transmitter in Champawat district of Uttarakhand.
The transmitters will be set up at the premises of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) will provide strengthen the FM coverage along the Indo-Nepal border.
