Social activist and Ghandhian Anna Hazare, who led the recent campaign against corruption in the country has been awarded with Basava Krishi Award at Krishi Sankranti Habba held at Kudalasangama in Bagalkot district. The award price carries a purse of Rs.50000 and citation. Water conservationist Rajendra Singh was the first recipient of the award.
