Maharashtra dominated the mutual fund landscape in the country with an assets base of Rs1.21 lakh crore at the end of April. Maharashtra is followed by Delhi which stood second in place. In terms of state-wise equity assets, Maharashtra led with Rs 1.21 lakh crore, taking up a 35 per cent share of the market. Other states which are ranked top 5 in the list are Karnataka, Gujarat and West Bengal.
