The Odisha government has recently constituted a judicial commission to study the functioning of the Sri Jagannath Temple, which has recently witnessed major controversies over mismanagement of rituals by unruly servitors. The commission will be headed by retired judge of Orissa High Court Justice Bimal Prasad Das. The one-man commission will recommend reforms for smooth management of the Sri Jagannath Temple and propagation of the Jagannath culture.
