Muqtar Ahmed, an Indian Arabic calligrapher, has won the second prize at the Cairo International Festival for Arabic Calligraphy in Egypt. Out of 115 calligraphers, the first prize has been won by Khalid Mohammad of Egypt. The festival focuses on developing the artistic taste among participants and connecting new generations with their history through the public show and the workshops it organizes in this field.
