The Indian Air Force base at Panagarh in West Bengal has been renamed after Marshal of the Indian Air Force (MIAF) Arjan Singh and be called as “Air Force Station Arjan Singh”. MIAF Arjan Singh, the former Indian Air Force (IAF) chief, is the only officer of the IAF to be promoted to five-star rank, equal to a Field Marshal and had led the IAF in the 1965 India-Pakistan war.
