Ge Fuping, the Chinese professor, has been honoured with the 2013 Dr. George Grierson prize by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee for his remarkable works done for the propagation of Hindi in foreign. Besides him, Alka Dunputh (from Mauritius) and Shichiro Soma (from Japan) were also given the George Grierson award for 2012 and 2014 by the honourable President.
