India has been ranked 60th out of 79 developing economies in the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Inclusive Development Index (IDI) for the year 2017. The list is topped by Lithuania, followed by Azerbaijan and Hungary. The IDI indicator determines the development and prosperity of a country based on 12 performance parameters and three major pillars – Growth and Development, Inclusion and Inter-generational Equity, and Sustainability.
