First unit of the Women Armed Special Protection Squad (WASPS) has been flagged off by the state government in Muktsar town of Punjab. The new WASPS unit will serve six districts of Bathinda zone in southwest Punjab. These include Muktsar Sahib, Bathinda, Faridkot, Mansa, Ferozepur and Fazilka districts.
