The World Day for Safety and Health at Work (WDSHW) is observed every year on April 28 to raise awareness about safe work and awareness of the dimensions and consequences of work-related accidents and diseases and to provide support to the national efforts for the improvement of national Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) systems and programmes in line with relevant international labour standards. The 2016 theme is “Workplace stress: a collective challenge” to draw attention to current global trends on work-related stress and its impact.
