Recently, the second Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Corvette INS Kadmatt was handed over to Indian Navy at Kolkata. It is a Kamorta class Corvette and is built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited (GRSE). The name of the ship is derived from Kadmat island located in the Lakshadweep group of Islands. GRSE is tasked to build 4 ASW Corvette class ships for Indian Navy under the strategic P-28 Project. INS Kamorta was the first in this class to be handed over to the Indian navy in 2014.
