The ICFT- UNESCO Fellini Prize is awarded to a film which reflects the ideals promoted by UNESCO. After the death of Italian film director Federico Fellini in 1993, UNESCO member states adopted a resolution to safeguard the cinematographic heritage. The Fellini medal was first unveiled at the Cannes Film Festival in May 1995.
