Maldives
The 7th edition of India-Maldives joint military exercise “EKUVERIN 2016” has started at Kadhdhoo, Laamu Atoll, Maldives. The purpose of the 14 day joint exercise is to acquaint both forces with each other’s operating procedures in the backdrop of amphibious and counter insurgency/ Counter terrorism environment and also to increase the existing military relationship between the Indian Army and the Maldivian National Defence Force.
