Madagascar, Comoros and France
Banc du Geyser is a mostly submerged reef in the northeastern Mozambique channel, which is located northeast from Mayotte, southwest of the Glorioso Islands, and off the northwestern coast of Madagascar. It is a disputed dangerous oval-shaped reef in which its ownership is claimed by Comoros, Madagascar, and France, claiming Banc du Geyser as part of the Exclusive Economic Zones of the said countries. France classified this reef as a marine protected area to preserve the endangered flora and fauna of the Glorioso Islands.
