Notes: The Jan Jeevan Hariyali Mission was launched by Nitish Kumar on August 9, 2019, on the occasion of ‘Bihar Prithvi Diwas’. It was implemented in state from October 2, 2019, marking the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. State cabinet approved an amount of Rs 24,524 crores for implementing the campaign in three financial years (2019-20 to 2021-22). It was launched to identify & rejuvenate all public conventional water storage structures, constructi check dams & other water harvesting structures, create new water sources, construct Rain Water Harvesting Structures in buildings, create nurseries & dense plantation of trees etc.
