He was one of the nine jewels at the royal court of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The nine jewels in the royal court of Akbar viz. Abdul Rahim, Abdul Fazal, Birbal, Faizi, Hamim Human, Raja Man Singh, Shaikh Mubarak, Tansen and Todar Mal.
