Mirabai Chanu Wins Asian Games Silver in 49 kg

Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal in the women’s 49 kg weightlifting event at the Asian Games on 23 September 2026. The competition was held at the Nagoya City Trade and Industry Center in Aichi, Japan, and Chanu lifted a total of 198 kg, including 87 kg in the snatch and 111 kg in the clean and jerk.
