West Central Railway Recruitment 2019- 160 Vacancies for Apprentices
West Central Railway invites online applications for 160 posts of Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentice Act 1961. The selected candidates would be designated at various Divisions and Units falling under the jurisdiction of West Central Railways.

Age Limit
Minimum: 15 years
Upper Age Limit: Candidates should not have completed 24 years on 27.11.2018.
The upper age is relaxable as follows:
SC/ST communities: 5 years
OBC communities: 3 years
Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates.
Educational Qualification
Aspiring candidates should have passed Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent. The candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board and in case of ITI in a relevant trade.
Selection Process
The candidates will be selected only on the basis of merit. The merit list will be drafted by taking into account the average of the %age of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination. Both will be given equal weightage.
For the calculation of %age of marks obtained in matriculation, marks obtained in ALL subjects will be taken into account. It shall not be based on any one subject or a group of subjects.
In case of two candidates obtaining equal marks, the candidate with older age would be preferred. If the date of birth is also same, then the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier than the other would be preferred.

Medical Fitness
The selected candidates have to undergo a medical test to ascertain their eligibility for the post.
Document Verification
Document verification and medical examination will be held in opted Divisions/Units, as per the choice of Division/Unit as mentioned in the Candidate’s application.
