Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has invited online applications from qualified candidates for Tax Assistant, Sub-Inspector, Clerk-Typist and Other posts in the organisation. The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in written test and/or interview. The total number of vacancies is 939. Educational Qualifications

The educational qualification needed for this recruitment are as follows:

Home Department
Sub-Inspector in the State Excise Department	i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination.
Finance Department
Tax Assistant	i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination. iii) English Typing 30 WPM.
Department of General Administration
Clerk-Typist (Marathi)	i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination. iii) Marathi Typing 30 WPM.
Clerk-Typist (Marathi) (English)	i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations – These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination. iii) English Typing 40 WPM.
