Who was the first Black African to win a Men’s Marathon in Olympics?

Abebe Bikila from Ethiopia was a two-time Olympic marathon and is known as the first black African in history to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Bikila’s victory at the 1964 Olympics is featured in the 1965 documentary film Tokyo Olympiad. Footage from that film was later recycled for the 1976 thriller Marathon Man. Abebe Bikila stadium in Addis Ababa is named in his honor.
