Which mythical charecter in the Greek Mythology, turns a person to a stone if the person looks at?

Its Gorgon, which is a a terrifying female creature. This term Gorgon represents three sisters, Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa who had hair of living, venomous snakes, and a horrifying gaze that turned those who beheld it to stone. Out of these three sisters the two are immortal, Stheno and Euryale. Medusa was slain by the mythical hero Perseus.
The symbol of Gorgons was used as stone head, engraving or even drawing of a Gorgon face with snakes protruding wildly and the tongue sticking out between her fangs placed on doors, walls, floors, coins, shields, breastplates, and tombstones in the hopes of warding off evil.
