What are Schemes of Government of India for Adolescent Girls?

Ministry of Women and Child Development is running Nutrition Programme for Adolescent Girls (NPAG) on pilot basis to improve the nutritional status of 11-19 years adolescent girls in 51 identified districts across the country. Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) is running in all districts of the country with limited coverage of two to three adolescent girls per anganwadi centre to improve the nutrition and health status of 11-18 years adolescent girls . Apart from this recently the Ministry has proposed a centrally sponsored scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls named SABLA-Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls (RGSEAG) Whereby the two existing schemes of the Ministry, i.e. NPAG and KSY are merged with content enrichment. This proposed scheme is under approval of competent authority at present.
