What are Nevados? How they are produced?

Nevados are the cold winds blowing down from the mountains with regularity in the higher valleys of Ecuador. They are produced by the cooling of the air on the mountains, partly by nocturnal radiation, and partly by contact with snow and ice, the cold air flowing down the slopes.
