Flue gas desulphurization (FGD)

This is one of the technical methods to control the emission of Sulphur Dioxide from the power plants that use Fossil Fuels. There are many strict environment regulations in force and this has led to development of many techniques. In these techniques the SO2 is removed from flue gases many methods such as wet scrubbing using a slurry limestone. Using the Wet Sulphuric Acid Process, the SO2 is processed to create the Sulfuric acid of industrial quality.
