No Tobacco Day
No Tobacco Day is observed on on 31 May every year. The day is intended to draw attention to the widespread prevalence of tobacco use and negative health effects which is causing lead to more than 7 million deaths each year worldwide, including 890,000 of which are the result of non-smokers being exposed to second-hand smoke. No Tobacco Day intends to encourage a 24-hour period of abstinence from all forms of tobacco consumption around the globe.
An e-cigarette is a handheld electronic device which simulates the experience of smoking a cigarette. It works by heating a liquid which generates an aerosol, or “vapour” which is inhaled by the user. The liquid is usually made of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerine, and flavourings and not all e-liquids contain nicotine.
