Rajasthan to get two new airports
As per Airports Authority of India (AAI), the civil airports in Jaisalmer and Bikaner in Rajasthan will be made operational before the end of this year. Both airports will be inaugurated in August this year. The AAI will conduct surveys about unused airstrips and old airport buildings in Rajasthan which could be renovated and developed for improving air connectivity in the State. Besides, the authority will soon begin work on the proposed airport at Kishangarh in Ajmer for which the State government has already provided land.
