Philadelphia dental clinics may have exposed patients to HIV
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health shut down 3 Dental clinics. The Department found proofs that the clinics were using improperly cleaned instruments to conduct procedures. Letters were sent to patients who had visited the clinic to get tesetd for HIV, HepatitisB and HepatitisC. The Department was unalbe to predict the duration of the practice therefore letters were sent to all the patients who underwent treatment in the clinics.
