International Crop Science award to ICRISAT scientist Dr. C.L. Laxmipathi Gowda
The 2012 International Crop Science award was given to Dr. C.L. Laxmipathi Gowda, scientist of the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). It was given to recognize his contribution to agriculture in the dry land areas of Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
Dr.Gowda has made significant contribution in the development of improved chickpea cultivars with high yield and resistance to pests and diseases.
