India-Iran: Cabinet approves MoU to establish expert group on trade remedy measures

The Union Cabinet has given its ex post facto approval to Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Iran on establishment of an expert group on trade remedy measures.  The MoU was signed in February, 2018 during visit of Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani to India. It aims to promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Key Facts

The MoU will promote cooperation between two countries in area of trade remedies. It will include exchange of information, capacity building activities, cooperation in investigations related to anti-dumping and countervailing duty, etc.
