Google loses copyright case over Android to Oracle

Screenshot_4Oracle Corp won a suit against Google Inc. as an appeals court in the US gave Oracle permission to  copyright parts of the Java programming language, which Google used to develop its Android smartphone operating system. Google’s Android operating system is the world’s largest-selling smartphone platform. Oracle filed a lawsuit against Google in 2010, claiming that Google had improperly used parts of Java into Android. Oracle seeks around $1 billion as its copyright claims.
