Fit India School Rating System Launched

The Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Kiren Rijiju and the Union Human Resource Development Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ jointly launched the Fit India School Rating System at Kendriya Vidyalaya no.1, in Delhi Cantonment on Wednesday, 4th December 2019.

Fit India School Rating System is launched as a part of the nation-wide Fit India Movement launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of National Sports Day on 29th August 2019.

Fit India Movement was launched with the aim to encourage people to inculcate sports and other physical activities in their everyday life and create awareness among the citizens of the country the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle.

India have above 16 lakh schools and more than one thousand universities providing education to more than 33 crore students, the fit India school rating system will help in promoting the need to do physical exercise daily, based on certain parameters, the rating system will enhance the image of school and universities in the country.
