Facebook launches new “graph search” tool
Facebook has unveiled a new friends-based search tool “graph search” which will help its users search for people and places within the social network.
The new tool which is available as a beta version will initially let users browse mainly photographs, people, places and members’ interests. Users will also be able to tailor their searches, such as by specifying music and restaurants that their friends like. The reverse will also be possible, such as searching friends who have common interest in a particular topic. The tool also addresses privacy concerns as it allows users to sort through only content that has been shared with them.
