Three more Rafale Jets arrive in India
On November 5, 2020, the second batch of Rafale jets arrived at Jamnagar airbase in Gujarat. The jets flew non-stop from France. The number of Rafale jets in India has now increased to eight.
COVID-19: SC asks GoI to ban use of UV and disinfectant
On November 5, 2020, the Supreme Court asked the Centre to issue directions to ban the use of disinfectants and ultra violet rays on humans for COVID-19 management. The SC has asked to ban the installation, production and advertisement of disinfection tunnels. These tunnels involve spraying or fumigation of chemical disinfectants on humans.

RBI announces Co-Lending Model (CLM)
On November 5, 2020, the Reserve Bank of India came out with a Co-Lending Model (CLM) scheme. Under the scheme, the banks provide loans along with NBFCs. The objective is to improve the flow of credit to the unserved and underserved sector of the economy.
PIF of Saudi Arabia picks up 2.04% stake in Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd
On November 5, 2020, Reliance Industries Ltd’s raised Rs 9,555 crore from Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia. This increased the total fundraise in the last two months to Rs 47,265 crore. PIF will take a 2.04 per cent stake in Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL),
1st India -Nordic – Baltic Conclave
On November 5, 2020, the External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar addressed the first India -Nordic – Baltic Conclave. The countries agreed to work together for a greener, smarter, digital and innovation-led future. Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) includes Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden.
Gen M. M. Naravane conferred honorary rank of General of Nepali Army

CARAT: US-Bangladesh Joint Exercise
On November 4, 2020, Bangladesh and US Navies launched CARAT exercise. CARAT is ‘Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). The exercise focused to expand relationships and broaden maritime awareness between the two countries.
