14th Anniversary of Right To Information

RTI act completes 14 years of its implementation on 12^th October, 2019. To mark this occasion The Satark Nagrik Sangathan and The Centre for Equity Studies has launched Report Card on the Performance of various Information Commissions in India. According to this report there are over 2 lakh pending complaints for their disposal throughout the nation.  Highest number of pending cases have been reported from Information commission of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Amit Shah chaired the 14^th Annual Convention of the Central Information Commission (CIC) as Chief Guest, held at  New Delhi, on 12^th October, 2019. All the information commissioners of State Information Comissions and Central Information commissions were invited to attend the event.
