A merchant purchases a wrist watch for 450 Rs. and fixes its list price in such a way that after allowing a discount of 10%, he earns a profit of 20%. Then the list price of the watch is :
[A]550 Rs.
[B]600 Rs.
[C]650 Rs.
[D]700 Rs.

600 Rs.
If the marked price of watch be x, then
$latex x \times \frac{90}{100} = \frac{450\times 120}{100}&s=1$
$latex => x = \frac{450\times 120}{90} = 600 Rs.&s=1$
Hence option [B] is the right answer.
