KVS Prepares Samvaad-Parent Connect App for Student Updates

On 2 November 2026, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was preparing to launch the Samvaad-Parent Connect App for parents of students in more than 1,200 Kendriya Vidyalayas. It is intended to provide updates on attendance, academic performance, examination results and school matters.

Parent verification before launch

KVS has directed schools to verify parents’ mobile numbers and email addresses on the SAMAGAM Portal by 6 November 2026. Parents must give separate one-time passwords (OTPs), received on their registered mobile number and email address, to their child’s class teacher for authentication. A student’s profile must show “Completed” on the portal before verification can begin.

Regional offices and school principals have been instructed to monitor verification progress daily. KVS has cautioned parents and students not to download unofficial apps using the names “KVS SAMAGAM” or “KVS Samvaad”; the official app has not yet launched. The app is expected to launch in the coming months as a digital communication channel between schools and parents.

• Transfer continuity: Kendriya Vidyalayas follow a common syllabus to reduce educational disruption when government employees’ children move with transferred parents.
• Regional structure: KVS’s school network is controlled through 25 Regional Offices and five Zonal Institutes of Education and Training under its headquarters.
• Single-use authentication: An OTP is valid for one login session or transaction; once used, a recorded code cannot be reused for that access.
