UP Launches Second Phase of School Chalo Abhiyan
Uttar Pradesh launched the second phase of the statewide School Chalo Abhiyan on 1 July 2026 from Saharanpur. The campaign will run across Uttar Pradesh from 1 July to 15 July 2026 for the 2026-27 academic session.
School Enrolment Drive in Uttar Pradesh
The second phase of School Chalo Abhiyan aims at 100% school enrolment in Uttar Pradesh. The campaign also seeks to bring out-of-school children and school dropouts back into the education system.
Implementation and Administrative Framework
The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated ₹163.60 lakh for the second phase of the campaign. The drive involves government departments, schools, teachers, Gram Panchayats, Urban Local Bodies, School Management Committees, Self-Help Groups, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and public representatives.

The campaign includes door-to-door outreach, household surveys, parent meetings, Prabhat Pheris, enrolment rallies, and special enrolment camps. Teachers are expected to use activities and sports in classrooms, and parents are encouraged to ensure regular attendance.
