North Tech Symposium 2026 on Defence Technology

The North Tech Symposium 2026 is being held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from 4 May to 6 May 2026. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the three-day event on 4 May 2026. The symposium is jointly organised by the Northern and Central Commands of the Indian Army with the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM).

Theme and Participation

The theme of the symposium is “Raksha Triveni Sangam – Where Technology, Industry & Soldiering Converge”. A total of 284 companies are participating, including MSMEs, private defence technology firms, start-ups, and uniformed innovators. The event includes technology displays, problem statements, and interaction between military users and developers.

Defence Innovation and Procurement

The symposium focuses on field-ready technologies, maintenance systems, and procurement processes for the Indian Army. It also aims to connect operational requirements with technological solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, drones, and surveillance systems. A Compendium of Problem Definition Statements was released at a Curtain Raiser event on 25 March 2026 in New Delhi.

Technologies on Display

Cutting-edge systems at the event include AI-based surveillance systems, heavy-lift logistics drones for extreme geographical conditions, and indigenous artillery systems. Dhash Defense Systems is showcasing indigenous all-terrain vehicle platforms under the IDDM category at Stall No. 67, Hall B, COBRA Auditorium.
