India and Denmark Hold MSME, Innovation Talks in Copenhagen

The 4th Meeting of the India–Denmark Joint Working Group on MSME development, innovation and intellectual property was held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 24 to 28 August 2026. The talks involved the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office, with discussions on technology adoption, technology commercialisation and IP-led growth.

India–Denmark Joint Working Group

The India–Denmark Joint Working Group is a bilateral mechanism for cooperation between India and Denmark on micro, small and medium enterprises, innovation and intellectual property. The 2026 meeting was the fourth session of this working group and included official discussions on institutional cooperation and business development.

Delegation and Institutional Participation

The Indian delegation was led by Dr Rajneesh, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner in the Ministry of MSME. The Danish delegation was headed by Maria Skou, Deputy Director General and Chief Operating Officer of the Danish Patent and Trademark Office. India’s Ambassador to Denmark, Manish Prabhat, and Counsellor Ashish Arya also took part in the bilateral sessions.

Innovation Hubs and Startup Ecosystem

The Indian delegation visited Aarhus University’s Innovation “Kitchen” and Agro Food Park on 28 August 2026. Aarhus University is a public research university in Denmark, and Agro Food Park is a Danish cluster for food and agribusiness enterprises. The delegation also joined the closing panel session of TechBBQ, a Nordic startup event held in Denmark.
