Air Marshal KAA Sanjeeb Takes Over as AOM

Air Marshal KAA Sanjeeb, AVSM, VSM, assumed charge as Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance (AOM) of the Indian Air Force on 1 September 2026. The appointment followed the superannuation of Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghuratia on 31 August 2026 after 39 years of service in the Indian Air Force.

His service career includes appointments as Director General (Aircraft), Director General (System), and Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Maintenance Plans) at Air HQ.

In 2003, he served as Lead Engineer and Team Leader of the Air HQ Project Management Team for the induction of the Indian Air Force’s first IL-78 Flight Refueller Aircraft. He received the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2015 and the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal in 2026.
