The tournament is scheduled for 15–18 October 2026 at Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi, with a US$4 million prize fund, the largest for a golf tournament held in India.

Qualification and Tournament Schedule

He is scheduled to tee off at 7:55 am local time on 15 October alongside Manoj S and Mohammed Azhar. His participation will bring the number of nations represented in DP World Tour history to 120.

The DP World Tour is a professional men’s golf tour. The DP World India Championship is a four-day tournament, with the 2026 edition scheduled to run from Thursday to Sunday.

Golf Tournament Format

Professional golf tournaments commonly use stroke play, in which a player’s score is the total number of strokes taken over the competition. A standard full round of golf consists of 18 holes, and a four-round event covers 72 holes. Players compete to complete the course in the fewest strokes.

Amateur Golf Rankings

Before turning professional, Tamang became the first Nepali amateur golfer to enter the top 100 of the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Amateur and professional golf competitions have separate ranking systems. The World Amateur Golf Rankings provide rankings for amateur golfers.
