Startup Kadapa Initiative Launched in Andhra Pradesh

The Startup Kadapa initiative is a district-level entrepreneurship project in Kadapa district of the Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh. It is linked to the state’s plans for youth-led enterprise, technology-based solutions, and support for startups, freelancers, and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Startup Hub in Kadapa

The Startup Kadapa hub building is being developed over 30,000 sq ft by the district administration. The facility is planned as a plug-and-play space with capacity for more than 400 people. The project aims to create a local centre for startups and innovation in Kadapa.

Funding and Institutional Support

The total project cost is ₹12 crore. NITI Aayog has sanctioned ₹3 crore for the project, and Shirdi Sai Electricals has contributed ₹4 crore under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. The remaining funding is being arranged for the project’s completion and operational setup.

Associated Entrepreneurship Frameworks

The proposed Start-Up Kadapa Entrepreneurship Centre is being developed under the P4 model. The Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) partnered with the Andhra Pradesh government on 10 March 2026 to scale micro and nano enterprises under the “One Family, One Entrepreneur” vision. The state government also signed an agreement with Cyient Foundation and AICTE on 11 June 2025 to establish support centres and mentorship programmes.
