50 Start-ups Exchange Programme

India and Bangladesh have initiated a start-up exchange programme to foster collaboration and partnership between the entrepreneurial communities of both countries. The framework of the start-up exchange programme was decided by the Prime Ministers of India and Bangladesh during their bilateral summits. The primary objectives of the programme include exploring partnerships, expanding business relations, sharing experience and knowledge, and promoting youth and entrepreneurial cooperation.

Introduction to India’s Start-up Ecosystem

During their visit, the Bangladeshi start-ups were introduced to India’s renowned “Start-up India” initiative. They participated in interactive sessions that covered essential topics such as establishing a start-up, business model creation, role of incubators, marketing strategies, cyber security, artificial intelligence, start-up evaluation, and funding opportunities. These sessions provided valuable insights and guidance to the visiting entrepreneurs.

The High Commission of India in Bangladesh organized an interactive session in Dhaka for the group of 10 start-ups upon their return from India. High Commissioner Pranay Verma emphasized the vibrant start-up ecosystems in both countries, highlighting the growing emphasis on innovation and technology. He discussed the potential for Bangladeshi start-ups to tap into the Indian markets, particularly in the North-Eastern states, and emphasized the importance of collaboration and ease of doing business between India and Bangladesh.
