16th Aero India to Be Held in Bengaluru

The 16th edition of Aero India is scheduled to be held at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru from 8 to 12 February 2027. The Ministry of Defence announced the event on 2 September 2026, and the Department of Defence Production will serve as the primary organiser.

Aero India as an Aerospace and Defence Exhibition

Aero India is an international aerospace and defence exhibition held in India and is described as Asia’s largest air show. The event brings together aircraft manufacturers, defence firms, military organisations, and technology suppliers from India and abroad.

Venue and Event Structure

The 2027 edition will use nine hangars, labelled A to I, at the Yelahanka Air Force Station. Hangars A and B are reserved for the Indian Air Force and the Defence Research and Development Organisation.

Online registration and exhibition space booking for global exhibitors are set to begin on 3 September 2026 through the Aero India web portal. The five-day format places the exhibition within the standard structure used for large defence trade shows and aerospace displays.

Defence Exports and Industrial Context

India’s annual defence exports reached ₹38,424 crore in FY 2025–26. Defence exports include items such as missiles, aircraft components, electronics, ammunition, and other military systems approved for overseas sale.

The 2027 edition follows the 15th Aero India, which was held from 10 to 14 February 2025 and drew about 900 exhibitors, including 150 international participants. The earlier edition also recorded the presence of 26 defence ministers and 118 global chief executive officers.
